Company’s History

The group of the companies Kronospan was founded 1897 in the town Lungetz near Salzburg as family business. Today Kronospan is one of the biggest players on the world market of deep timber processing, the leading producer of wood boards and laminated flooring with more than centenary period of market presence.

The group of the companies Kronospan has 28 wood processing enterprises in 24 countries of the world.

The 29th of January 2002 – conclusion of the investment agreement between the Government of Moscow region and the company Kronospan.

The 17th of September 2002 – the foundation stone ceremony of the future factory.

The 9th of July 2003 – completion of the assembly of the factory’s buildings and beginning with the assembly of the first stage of the production.

The 15th of January 2004 – output of the first test MDF board.

On the 11th of March 2005 the official opening of the already operating plant OOO “Kronospan” took place.  The governor of the Moscow region Boris Gromov participated in the ceremony.

On the 28th of Mai 2005 the habitants of the Egorievsk district were invited to Doors Open Day “Kronospan-Russia”. And on the 18th of July of this year the foundation stone ceremony for the future chipboard plant took place.

In June 2006 the second MDF and HDF production line was put into operation.

During the year the construction of the chipboard production line was in progress, and test goods were manufactured in the plant on the 20th of October 2006.
